the wine
2003
Round, full-bodied, flavourful, robust. With velvety tannins, firms yet refined, and a long, soft finish. A marked fruity and balsamic character, with a lasting after taste with hints of raisining. That is the Reserva Bohórquez 2003, a vintage in which the conditions were rather severe, with abundant rains and snows in winter, drought and heat waves in the summer and temperatures reaching record-breaking highs.

The altitude of the vines, along with the rocky and calcareous soil, kept the amount of grapes produced to a low and thus the quality was considerably better.

After a qualitative analysis of the crop, a concentrated wine with intense colour was obtained.

39.000 bottles of Bohórquez 2003 and some 500 magnums taken from a specially blended tank were commercialised.

Bohórquez 2003 Reserva is no longer available, with the last 500 bottles being sold as a limited edition.
