the wine
2004
Round, firm yet refined tannins, the red fruits, cherries and raspberries have a strong presence and light oaky flavour from the barrel offers a sensation of balance. With an after taste of cacao with candied fruit. That is Bohórquez 2004, a year that had a long winter that lasted until March and April, with abnormally low temperatures for this period and a high rate of precipitation over the average for a normal year. Then the weather got back to normal in the second half of May with a progressive and accentuated rise in temperature.

The summer was dry and sunny, and stayed that way until the middle of October, which allowed us to obtain an excellent vintage.

But we still did a great qualitative selection of grapes, as with every year, in order to create a wine full of perks and take full advantage of the good climatic conditions.

55.000 bottles and some 3.000 magnums of Bohórquez 2004 have been commercialised from this vintage.
